Kim Green was born on March 17, 1962, in Jamaica, Queens, New York, to Lucille Fernandez and James Miller. As an only child, Kim was known from an early age as an obedient, loving, and shy young girl who deeply loved being around her mother. She had a bright smile that could light up any room, and she made everyone feel welcomed, valued, and important.
Kim loved Jehovah and faithfully served Him throughout her life. Even as a child, she loved the ministry and gave her first talk at just 12 years old in New York. She was observant, inquisitive, friendly, and genuine — always encouraging others and never having a bad word to say about anyone.
After graduating school and earning her degree from Long Island City College, Kim later moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, in 1988. There, she continued building a beautiful life centered around family, faith, and caring for others. She worked in investment banking, became self-employed in interior design, and was also a licensed real estate agent. Kim was talented, independent, and had a strong business mind.
In 1992, she welcomed her beloved daughter, Jazmyn, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally. Kim was a warm and protective mother whose guidance, love, and faith left a lasting impact on her daughter’s life.
Kim also shared many meaningful years with Claudius Green, whom she met in 1998. They were married for over 14 years before his passing in 2019. Claudius lovingly helped raise Jazmyn, and together they built a life centered on family, love, and support. Their bond and the memories they created will always remain a cherished part of Kim’s story.
She was also a devoted grandmother to Jai, who lovingly remembers her as the “best grandma,” always comforting him, watching movies with him, and sharing simple joys like feeding ducks and squirrels together.
Kim also found love and companionship with her husband, Charles Underwood, whom she married on February 4, 2021. Their bond was filled with love, care, and devotion. Even during her illness, Charles remained faithfully by her side, holding her hand, singing to her, and caring for her with tenderness.
Kim loved nature, animals, music, and even her high heels. She was kind-hearted, loving, truthful, and faithful to Jehovah until the very end. Though she faced health challenges in her final months, she remained strong, loving, and true to herself.
Kim will be remembered for her beautiful spirit, her warm heart, her unwavering faith, and the love she gave so freely to everyone around her. She stood firm for Jehovah, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
